Veniss repits victory at the Casino de Asturias class

Showjumping | International Showjumping - CSI 1* YH - CSIO 5* Gijón | WED30JUL-MON04AUG | Las Mestas | At the present edition of International Official Jumping Show Gijón 5* 2014 victories are happening to be “doubled”. Yesterday it was Samuel Parot, past morning Laura Renwick and on the past afternoon class the winner was Pedro Veniss and ‘Amemoi O Sandor’.
This time, Veniss recorded 70.41 seconds, a few seconds later Leon Thijssen and his mare ‘Quintera’ (70.52 seconds) and on the third place the French rider Roger Yves Bost and ‘Quod´Coeur de la Loge’ (71.71).

This seventh class, sponsored by Casino de Asturias, counts towards Longines FEI ranking. It was judged under an A scale with stopwatch and it had thirteen obstacles at a maximum height of 1.50 metres. A total amount of 49 riders took part on this class and 17 made no penalty.

An ambitious rider

“It has been a very interesting class and it was decided by a very small difference of time” says Vennis about the difference with the second classified.

After two victories at the CSIO Gijón 5* 2014, the brazilian rider would like to win the Grand Prix next Monday. “I will compite with my best horse which is doing his best on this show”, explains the winner.

Apart from them, the french Simon Delestre and ‘Ryan des Hayettes’ and Marie Pellegrin-Etter, from Switzerland, and ‘Chase Manhatten’ were at the prize giving ceremony too
