The german rider Hassmann wins the BMW Triocar class

Showjumping | International Showjumping - CSI 1* YH - CSIO 5* Gijón | WED30JUL-MON04AUG | Las Mestas | The first victory of a German rider in the CSIO 5* Gijón 2014 was for the rider Felix Hassmann and his horse 'SL Brazonado', with a time of 54,56 seconds.
The Argentine rider Luis Pedro Biraben with his mare 'Abunola' ended the class less than a second above, specifically in 55,73 seconds; and the third place was for the Belgian rider Donaat Brondeel with his horse 'Breemeersen Adorado' (56,23 seconds).

Sponsored by Triocar BMW, the course of the penultimate class of the show was judged by a Table A against the clock in eleven obstacles and a maximum height of 1,40 metres and thirteen efforts. Twenty of the 33 riders competing in Las Mestas didn't get any penalty and seven was qualified under 60 seconds.

A very fast course

Felix Hassmann won the small class of the last day of the show beating the time of the argentine rider Biraben who has competed several minutes before. "I was able to watch the time of the previous riders and be a little more faster than them" said the german.

Situated in the 129th position in Logines Rankings, Mr. Hassmann affirms that he will try to get the best results this afternoon at the Grand Prix. In addition, he has told us that he is going to compete with the same horse as in the Nations Cup ('Hiorse Gym's Balzaci').

The fourth place was for the spanish rider Miguel Álvarez-Buylla Rodríguez with the horse 'Zando' and the fifth place was for the norwegian rider Morten Djupvik riding his mare 'Valley Stream B'.
